La Cala de Mijas is a very friendly family small Town with the added advantage of a long sandy beach, it has an openair market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, little market along the seafront during the summer months. La Cala de Mijas is well known for it's choice of Restaurants, you can pick from the wonderful Chiringuitos (typical spanish beach restaurants which specialise in fresh fish cooked outdoors over an olive wood fire. Tapa bars, Spanish, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Italian, English, Irish, Danish and many more. You have everything you need within the Town, even a 9 hole Golf Course (La Noria).
